(TH) สวัสดีครับนี่เป็น ซีรีส์ใหม่ที่ผมตั้งใจว่าจะเขียน ตลอด 2 สัปดาห์ ที่ผมยังอยู่กทม หลังจากกลับมาจาก ถิ่นทุรกันดารที่เสลาห์ ผมจะขอใช้ สองสัปดาห์นี้พูดถึงเรื่องราวของการเตรียมตัวเข้าเรือโนอาห์ กันนะครับ จบสองสัปดาห์นี้ผมก็กลับไป ต่างจังหวัดตามเดิมและคงจะเป็นซีรีส์อันต่อไปอีกนะครับ เอาล่ะเรามาอ่านพระคัมภีร์ข้อนี้กันก่อน
“เพราะว่าสมัยของโนอาห์เคยเป็นอย่างไร เมื่อบุตรมนุษย์เสด็จมาก็จะเป็นอย่างนั้น เพราะว่าก่อนวันน้ำท่วมนั้น คนทั้งหลายพากันกินดื่มกัน สมรสกันและยกให้เป็นสามีภรรยากัน จนถึงวันที่โนอาห์เข้าไปในเรือใหญ่ และน้ำท่วมกวาดเอาพวกเขาไปทุกคนโดยไม่ทันรู้ตัวอย่างไร เมื่อบุตรมนุษย์เสด็จมาก็จะเป็นอย่างนั้น”

เราจะเห็นได้ว่านี้คือข้อพระคัมภีร์สำหรับยุคสุดท้ายโดยเฉพาะ นะครับ และเอลเดอร์ ดอน ได้ช่วยขยายความเข้าใจให้ในหัวข้อนี้ไว้ในสะบาโตหนึ่งขณะที่เราอยู่โรงเรียน Hayahad กันครับ ผมก็จะค่อยๆ ขยายให้เข้าใจกันตลอดสองสัปดาห์นี้นะครับ อย่างแรกคือ เรากำลังอยู่ในยุคสุดท้ายแน่ๆ ครับ ดูจากลักษณะสังคมและผู้คน ของคนในยุคของเรา ผมค่อนข้างเอนเอียงไปในมุมว่า มันเปลี่ยนไปจากเดิมมากๆ หลายสิ่งหลายอย่างเกิดขื่นอย่างไม่น่าเกิดขึ้น เช่น การทำแท้ง หรือ การที่โบสต่างๆที่บอกว่าเชื่อในพระคัมภีร์ไบเบิ้ลแต่กลับบอกว่าการสมรสในเพศเดียวคือสิ่งที่ไม่ผิดต่อพระคัมภีร์ หรือ เทศกาลคริสมาสต์ สะบาโตในวันอาทิตย์ เป็นต้น สิ่งเหล่านี้ คือ สิ่งที่เห็นได้ชัดว่า มันไม่ปกติ แต่คนส่วนใหญ่กลับมองเป็นเรื่องปกติ เอลเดอร์ ดอน ใช้คำอธิบายเหตุการ์แบบนี้ว่า “ Narmalcy Bias “ ความหมายคือ การมีอคติบางอย่างในสถานการณ์ปกติอันนำไปสู่การประเมินผลกระทบในเชิงลบต่ำกว่าปกติ ซึ่งนำมาสู่การไม่เตรียมตัวรับสถานการณ์ในเชิงลบได้ดีพอ หรือ พูดง่ายๆว่า คนที่ มีแนวคิดแบบ Narmalcy Bias จะมองทุกเรื่องว่า ไม่น่ามีปัญหาอะไรหรอก หรือมองว่าเป็นเหตุการณ์ปกติ แม้ว่าจะมีแนวโน้วถึงหายนะขนาดไหนก็ตาม ง่ายเข้าไปอีกคือ สำนวนไทยที่ว่า “ทองไม่รู้ร้อน“ นั่นเองครับ
เราจะเห็นว่าในพระคำที่ยาห์ชัวกล่าวถึงยุคของโนอาห์ คือพวกเขากำลังจะเจอการพิพากษาครั้งยิ่งใหญ่ โนอาห์ เตือนพวกเขาตลอดเวลา โนอาห์สร้างเรือลำยักษ์ขนาดใหญ่ ในขณะที่ฝนยังไม่ตก และสภาพสังคมที่เละเทะมากๆ พวกเขายังไม่รู้ร้อนรู้หนาว ยังมีเวลา แต่งงานกัน กินดื่ม เหมือนนัยว่า ไม่เกิดอะไรที่ผิดปกติเกิดขึ้น ถ้ายังไม่เห็นภาพผมขอแนะนำให้ไปดูภาพยนตร์ เรื่อง Don’t look up กันน่ะครับ เพื่อเข้าใจสภาวะนี้ แนะนำว่า ดูเฉพาะผู้บรรลุนิติภาวะแล้วก็จะปลอดภัยครับ มีฉากที่ไม่เหมาะกับเด็กอยู่ด้วย เอาล่ะ มาดูพระคำกันว่า ยุคโนอาห์ สภาพเป็นอย่างไรครับ
“ต่อไปนี้คือลำดับพงศ์พันธุ์ของโนอาห์ โนอาห์เป็นคนชอบธรรมดีพร้อมในสมัยของเขา โนอาห์ดำเนินกับพระเจ้า โนอาห์มีบุตรสามคน ชื่อเชม ฮาม และยาเฟท คนทั้งโลกเสื่อมทรามไปเฉพาะพระพักตร์ของพระเจ้า และแผ่นดินก็เต็มด้วยความโหดร้าย พระเจ้าทอดพระเนตรแผ่นดินก็ทรงเห็นว่าเสื่อมทราม เพราะมนุษย์ทั้งหมดประพฤติตนเสื่อมทรามบนแผ่นดิน พระเจ้าจึงตรัสแก่โนอาห์ว่า “เราจะให้มนุษย์และสัตว์ทั้งปวงสิ้นสุดต่อหน้าเรา ด้วยเหตุว่า แผ่นดินโลกเต็มด้วยความโหดร้ายเพราะการกระทำของมนุษย์ ดูเถิด เราจะทำลายพวกเขาพร้อมกับแผ่นดินโลก”

เราจะเห็นว่า มีเพียงโนอาห์ เท่านั้น ที่ไม่มีแนวคิด Narmalcy Bias และนี่คือครอบครัวเดียวที่ได้รับอนุญาตให้ไปต่อเพื่อเป็นต้นตระกูลใหม่ของเชื้อสายของคนทั้งโลกครับ ในขนะที่คนบนโลกในยุคนั้น สนุกสนานกับการกระทำอันโหดร้ายและเสื่อมทราม แต่โนอาห์กลับเชื่อฟังพระยาห์เวห์ และทำสิ่งที่ไม่สมเหตุสมผลคือ สร้างเรือ เพื่อหนีน้ำท่วม ซึ่งผมเชื่อว่าพวกเขาเคยพิจารณาเรื่องกันมาอย่างดี แต่ผมอยากคุยประเด็นของคำว่า Narmalcy Bias ครับ เพราะนี่คือสภาพของคนในยุคของเราเช่นกันและบางทีเราก็อาจจะมีบางมุมมองที่เป็นแบบนี้ได้ เช่น เราอะลุ่ม อะหล่วย กับบาปบางเรื่อง หรือ เรามองว่าในตอนนี้ยังไม่ใช่เวลาที่อันตรายจนถึงขั้นต้องออกไปเตรียมตัว นั่นคือ อาการเริ่มต้นของแนวคิดนี้
เอลเดอร์ ดอน เล่าว่า ในสมัยของการฆ่าล้างเผ่าพันธุ์ชาวยิว ก็เป็นเช่นนี้ครับ คือ ไม่ว่าจะมีการเตือนเท่าไร ก็จะมีคนกลุ่มหนึ่งไหวตัวทันและมีคนอีกกลุ่มใหญ่ คิดว่าไม่มีอะไรหรอกเดียวมันก็ผ่านไป จนในที่สุดกว่าเขาจะรู้ตัวว่าจะถูกนำไปฆ่าก็สายไปเสียแล้ว นี่คือ อาการของ กบในหม้อต้มเดือด ครับ กว่ากบตัวนั้นจะรู้ว่านี้คือน้ำร้อน มันก็กระโดดออกไม่ทันแล้วเพราะนำได้ใกล้จุดเดือนแล้ว
สิ่งนี้สะท้อนเราในทุกๆวันครับว่าเรามี แนวคิดแบบนี้บ้างมั้ย อะไรบ้างที่เราเห็นว่ามันไม่มีอะไร ไม่อันตรายเท่าไร แต่เราไม่จัดการแก้ไข หรือวางแผนที่จะหนีออกจากสิ่งนั้นครับ ในคลาส เอลเดอร์ ดอน ถามว่า มีใครไม่รู้บ้างว่า โซเชียลมีเดีย นำภัยมาสู่เราและครอบครัวได้ตลอดเวลา มีใครไม่รู้บ้างว่า มือถือ คือ อุปกรณ์ไว้ติดตามความเคลื่อนไหวของเรา ไม่ต่างกับกำไลข้อเท้าของนักโทษยุคใหม่
แล้วมีกี่คนที่ตั้งใจจะเอามันออกไปจากชีวิต นั่นแหละครับ คือ คำตอบว่า ใครบ้างที่ยังมีแนวคิดแบบ Narmalcy Bias อยู่บ้างและใช่แล้วครับ วันนี้ถ้าเรารู้ตัวและเรามองออกถึงเวลาแล้วที่เราจะเริ่มวางแผนให้ตัวเองและครอบครับว่าเราจะยังอยู่กับสิ่งอันตรายต่อชีวิตนิรันดร์ของเราต่อไปมั้ย หรือเราจะทำเป็นทองไม่รู้ร้อนต่อไป อันนี้คือ Free will ที่เรามีกันทุกคนและเราต้องรับผิดชอบกันทุกคนต่อการใช้ Free will ของเราด้วยเช่นกันครับ

(EN) Hello, this is a new series that I intend to write during the two weeks that I will be in Bangkok after returning from the wilderness of Selah. I would like to use these two weeks to discuss the preparation for entering Noah’s Ark. At the end of these two weeks, I will return to the upcountry as usual, and that will probably be the next series. Alright, let’s read this scripture first.
Matthew 24:37-39 (Hebraic Roots Bible)
But as the days of Noah, so also will be the coming of the Son of Man. For as they were in the days before the flood eating, and drinking, marrying, and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah went into the ark.
And they did not know until the flood came and took all away. So also will be the coming of the Son of Man.
We can see that this is the scripture for the last day, especially. Elder Don has helped expand the understanding on this topic during one Sabbath while we were at the Hayahad school. I will gradually elaborate for the next two weeks. Firstly, we are definitely in the last day, looking at the characteristics of society and people of our time. I tend to lean towards the perspective that it has changed a lot from before. Many things have happened that are quite unexpected. For example, abortion or the various churches that claim to believe in the Bible, yet say that same-sex marriage is not against the scriptures, or the celebrations of Christmas, or the Sabbath on Sunday, etc. These things are clearly abnormal, but most people perceive them as normal. Elder Don describes such situations as ‘Normalcy Bias,’ which means having a certain bias in normal circumstances that leads to an underestimation of negative impacts, resulting in inadequate preparation for negative situations. Simply put, people with a Normalcy Bias see everything as if there is nothing wrong or view it as a normal event, no matter how dire the indications of disaster may be. Another way to put it is the Thai saying ‘Gold does not feel the heat.’
We will see that in the scriptures where Yahshua speaks of the era of Noah, it is said that they were about to face a great judgement. Noah had constantly warned them, and he built a gigantic ark while it was not yet raining and the state of society was very filthy. They were still unaware, still had time to marry, eat, and drink, as if nothing unusual was happening. If you cannot see the picture, I recommend watching the movie ‘Don’t Look Up’ to understand this state. I recommend that only adults watch it as there are scenes that are not suitable for children. Alright, let’s look at the scriptures to see what the time of Noah was like.
Genesis 6:9-13
These are the generations of Noah. Noah, a righteous man, had been without blemish in his generations. Noah walked with Elohim.
And Noah fathered three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. And the earth was corrupt before the Elohim, and the earth was filled with violence. And Elohim looked on the earth, and behold, it was corrupted. For all flesh had corrupted its way on the earth. And Elohim said to Noah, The end of all flesh has come before Me, for the earth is filled with violence through them. And behold, I will destroy them along with the earth.
We can see that only Noah is free from the influence of Normalcy Bias, and this is the only family allowed to continue as the new lineage of all humanity. While people in the world during that time were indulging in cruel and vile acts, Noah instead listened to Yahweh and did something that seemed unreasonable: he built the ark to escape the flood. I believe they must have considered this matter thoroughly. However, I want to discuss the concept of Normalcy Bias because it reflects the state of people in our time as well, and perhaps we also have some perspectives that are like this. For example, we might downplay certain sins or think that it is not yet a dangerous time that requires us to come out for preparation. This is the initial symptom of this mindset.
Elder Don told that in the days of the Holocaust, it was like this: no matter how many warnings were given, one group of people would catch up and another would think that there was nothing wrong and this would pass, until it was too late for them to realize that they would be killed. This is the symptom of a frog in a boiling pot. Before the frog knew that it was hot water, it couldn’t jump out in time because it was close to the boiling point.
This reflects us every day in that we should think about whether we have such ideas or not. What are the things that we see as nothing, not very dangerous, but we do not take action to address it or plan to escape from it? In Elder Don’s class, he asked if anyone is unaware that social media can harm us and our families at any time. Is there anyone who does not know that mobile phones are devices that track our movements, not unlike the ankle bracelets of modern-day prisoners? How many people intend to remove it from their lives? That is the answer to who still holds the idea of Normalcy Bias. And yes, today, if we realize and can see that it is time for us to start planning for ourselves and our families on whether we will continue to live with these dangers that threaten our eternal lives, or if we will continue to remain indifferent. This is the free will that we all have, and we must also take responsibility for the use of our free will.
