The Faith. EP 3. ความเชื่อ คือ ความแน่ใจ
(TH) ทราบมั้ยครับ เจ้าความเชื่อเนี่ย มันทรงพลังมากๆเลยนะครับมันสามารถปลดปล่อยฤทธานุภาพของการเยียวยารักษาอย่างอัศจรรย์ หรือ การทำการอัศจรรย์ เยอะแยะมากมาย ในพันธสัญญาใหม่ ยาห์ชัว จะตำหนิสาวกอยู่บ่อยๆ ว่า “พวกเขาขาดความเชื่อ หรือ มีความเชื่อน้อย “ นั่นเพราะเขาทำมันโดยไม่มั่นใจหรือขาดความเชื่อนั่นเอง
ในฮีบรูจึง อธิบายนิยามของความเชื่อไว้แบบนี้ครับ
‘ความเชื่อคือความมั่นใจในสิ่งที่หวังไว้ เป็นความแน่ใจในสิ่งที่มองไม่เห็น โดยความเชื่อนี้เองคนสมัยก่อนจึงได้รับการรับรองจากพระเจ้า โดยความเชื่อ เราจึงเข้าใจว่า พระเจ้าได้ทรงสร้างจักรวาล ด้วยพระดำรัสของพระองค์ ดังนั้นสิ่งที่มองเห็นจึงเป็นสิ่งที่เกิดจากสิ่งที่ไม่ปรากฏให้เห็น ‘
ฮีบรู 11:1-3
ใช่แล้วอีกประการหนึ่ง ก็คือ ถ้าคุณ “เชื่อ” คุณจะต้องทำมันและต้องทำด้วยความแน่ใจครับ แน่ใจ๊ แน่ใจ อ่ะครับ ดังนั้นถ้าผู้เชื่อทุกคนเข้าใจสิิ่งนี้จะไม่มีปัญหาเรื่องทำนองว่า “ฉันโดนศิษยาภิบาลหลอกให้ทำโน่นทำนี่“
หรือ “ผมโดนกดดันให้ทำอันนี้อันนั้น“ ใช่แล้วครับ ถ้าเราเข้าใจข้อพระคำที่ผมให้มาด้านบนและในตอนที่แล้วจะไม่มีใครสามารถหลอกหรือโน้มน้าว หรือ กดดัน อะไร เราได้เลย และที่สำคัญในพระคัมภีร์ไม่มีสิ่งนี้อยู่ มีแต่ความเชื่อเท่านั้นที่จะขับเคลื่อนตัวเราให้ทำสิ่งใดๆก็ตาม และ คุณต้องทำมันด้วยความแน่ใจมากๆเท่านั้น ที่สำคัญสิ่งใดก็ตามที่คุณทำมันด้วยความเชื่อจริงๆ คุณจะไม่มีวันเสียใจในการกระทำนั้นๆได้เลย เพราะคุณตรึกตรองมันเป็นอย่างดีจนแน่ใจแล้ว คุณถึงลงมือทำมันครับ
อีกมุมนึง ความเชื่อ คือ อาการของการที่เราทำอะไรก็ตามด้วยความมั่นใจอย่างเต็มใจ สมัครใจ ไม่ได้ทำไปเพราะกลัวผิด ไม่ได้ทำไปเพราะ คนส่วนใหญ่ทำ และแม้ไม่มีใครทำเลยสักคน คุณก็ยังคงจะทำ เหมือนในพระคำโรมบทที่ 2 ที่พูดถึง คนยูดาห์ ที่มั่นใจในการรักษาโทราห์ ว่าเขาจะได้เข้าแผ่นดินสวรรค์แน่ๆ แต่เขาไม่ได้รักษามันด้วยความเชื่อ เขาเพียงทำมันแบบเสียไม่ได้ เพราะ โทราห์ คือ กฏหมายสำหรับพวกเขาไปแล้ว มาดูข้อพระคำที่ว่ากันครับ
“แต่เดี๋ยวนี้ความชอบธรรมของพระเจ้านั้นปรากฏนอกเหนือธรรมบัญญัติ ความชอบธรรมดังกล่าวก็ได้รับการยืนยันจากหมวดธรรมบัญญัติและพวกผู้เผยพระวจนะ คือความชอบธรรมของพระเจ้า ซึ่งปรากฏโดยความเชื่อในพระเยซูคริสต์แก่ทุกคนที่เชื่อ โดยไม่ทรงถือว่าเขาแตกต่างกัน เพราะว่าทุกคนทำบาป และเสื่อมจากพระสิริของพระเจ้า แต่พระเจ้าทรงมีพระคุณให้เขาเป็นผู้ชอบธรรมโดยไม่คิดมูลค่า โดยที่พระเยซูคริสต์ทรงไถ่เขาให้พ้นบาปแล้ว พระเจ้าได้ทรงตั้งพระเยซูไว้ให้เป็นเครื่องบูชาไถ่บาปโดยพระโลหิตของพระองค์ ความเชื่อจึงได้ผล ทั้งนี้เพื่อแสดงให้เห็นความชอบธรรมของพระเจ้า ในการที่พระองค์ได้ทรงอดกลั้นพระทัย และทรงยกบาปที่ได้ทำไปแล้วนั้น และเพื่อจะสำแดงในปัจจุบันนี้ว่าพระองค์ทรงเป็นผู้ชอบธรรม และทรงให้ผู้ที่เชื่อในพระเยซูเป็นผู้ชอบธรรมด้วย เพราะฉะนั้น เราจะเอาอะไรมาอวด? ไม่มีทางทำได้เลย จะเอาการทำตามธรรมบัญญัติหรือ? จะเอาการประพฤติหรือ? ก็ไม่ได้ แต่ต้องเอาหลักเกณฑ์ของความเชื่อ เพราะเราเห็นว่า คนหนึ่งคนใดจะถูกชำระให้ชอบธรรมได้ก็โดยอาศัยความเชื่อนอกเหนือการประพฤติตามธรรมบัญญัติ”
โรม 3:21-28 THSV11
ถ้าเราค่อยๆ อ่านดีๆ แล้วเริ่มเข้าใจมุมที่ผมพยายามอธิบายไปทีละวันเราจะเข้าใจความล้ำลึกของ คำว่า “ความเชื่อ” ตรงนี้มากๆ และเราจะเข้าใจเลยว่าทำไม ความเชื่อ ถึงมีค่าพอจะให้ใครสักคนรอดได้ และมันไม่ใช่การกระทำตามธรรมบัญญัติแต่ มันก็คือการทำตามบัญญัตินั่นแหละ แต่ที่มากไปกว่านั้น คือ การที่เราได้ใช้ Free will ของเรา ที่จะทำ หรือไม่ทำ ตามโทราห์ ก็ได้ ในขณะที่เราอยู่คนเดียว ไม่มีใครเห็น แต่ยังเลือกรักษาธรรมบัญญัตินี้เอาไว้ หรือแม้แต่เราต้องเสียประโยชน์บางอย่างไป แต่เพื่อคำสัญญาเราเลยยังคงรักษาสัจจะนี้ไว้ที่เรามีต่อยาห์เวห์ให้ดีที่สุด เห็นมั้ยครับ มันคนล่ะเรื่องกันเลยระหว่าง การรักษาโทราห์ เพราะกลัวโดนขว้างหิน กับการรักษาโทราห์ ด้วยความมั่นใจว่า เมื่อเรารักษาคำสัญญานี้แล้ว พระยาห์เวห์ก็จะรักษาคำสัญญาของพระองค์ที่มีให้กับเราด้วย และนั้นคือ คำนิยามที่ถูกต้องของคำว่า “ความเชื่อ” นั้นเอง
ถ้าเราเริ่มมองเห็นความแตกต่างแล้ว เราจะเข้าใจว่า การแต่งกายให้ถูกต้องตามโทราห์ โดย ความเชื่อ ไม่ใช่ กฏ จะแตกต่างกันมากๆ แตกต่างกันยังไงเหรอครับ? ไม่ใช่เรื่องของกระโปรงใครยาวกว่ากัน หรือ ใครห้อยพู่ Tuzzel ยาวกว่ากัน แต่เป็น แรงจูงใจภายในที่เราเลือกจะใส่กระโปรงยาวหรือ ห้อยพู่ มากกว่าครับ ว่าเราทำไปทำไม คนหนึ่งแต่งตัวถูกต้องตามโทราห์ ที่บัญญัติไว้ เพราะเขารู้จักกฏระเบียบเป็นอย่างดี และไม่ต้องการที่จะมีปัญหากับชุมชน พูดง่ายๆ เขารักษาเพราะไม่อยากโดนขว้างหินนั้นเอง อันนี้ฟังดูดีใช่มั้ยครับ แต่คนที่คิดแบบนี้ มีโอกาสสูงที่เมื่อเขาเปลี่ยนสังคมหรือเมื่อเขาไปในสังคมที่ไม่มีใครแคร์เรื่องการแต่งกายตามโทราห์ เขาก็จะเลิกแต่งกายตามโทราห์ เพราะไม่มีใครรู้เรื่องการแต่งกายแบบนี้นั่นเอง แต่มาดูอีกคน ที่เขาแต่งตัวถูกต้องเหมือนกัน แต่สาเหตุที่เขาแต่งตัวนั้นแตกต่างออกไป เพราะเขาแต่งกายตามโทราห์ เพราะเขาต้องการให้เกียรติพระยาห์เวห์ ผ่านทางการแต่งกายที่แสดงออกถึง การเคารพเพศตรงข้าม และเขาเป็นห่วงว่า การแต่งกายของเขา อาจจะไปทำให้ ใครสักคนที่ผ่านมาเห็นโดยบังเอิญหรือไม่บังเอิญก็ตามจะตกอยู่ในการทดลองในบาปเรื่องเพศ เขาจึงพยายามแต่กายให้มิดชิดตามที่โทราห์กำหนดไว้ ดังนั้นแม้เขาจะอยู่คนเดียว หรือไปในที่ที่ไม่มีใครรู้จักโทราห์ เขาก็ยังจะแต่กายเหมือนเดิมแบบที่โทราห์กำหนดไว้นั่นเองครับ
“จงทอเสื้อยาวกรอมเท้าด้วยป่านเนื้อดี ส่วนผ้ามาลานั้นจงทำด้วยผ้าป่านเนื้อดี และสายรัดเอวนั้นจงทำและตกแต่งด้วยงานปัก “จงทำเสื้อยาวกรอมเท้า สายรัดเอวและหมวก สำหรับบรรดาบุตรของอาโรนให้เป็นเกียรติและให้สง่างาม จงตกแต่งอาโรนพี่ชายของเจ้าและบุตรของเขาด้วยเสื้อตำแหน่งของปุโรหิต แล้วจงเจิมและสถาปนาอีกทั้งชำระพวกเขาให้บริสุทธิ์ เพื่อให้เขาเป็นปุโรหิตปรนนิบัติเรา จงทำชั้นในให้เขาทั้งหลายด้วยผ้าป่านยาวตั้งแต่เอวไปจนถึงต้นขาเพื่อจะปกปิดกายที่เปลือย ให้อาโรนกับบุตรของเขาสวมเมื่อเข้าไปในเต็นท์นัดพบ และเมื่อเข้าใกล้แท่นบูชาเพื่อจะปรนนิบัติในวิสุทธิสถาน เพื่อไม่ให้พวกเขาทำบาปและต้องตาย เรื่องนี้ให้เป็นกฎเกณฑ์เนืองนิตย์สำหรับเขา และเชื้อสายของเขา”
อพยพ 28:39-43 THSV11
เห็นมั้ยครับ ถ้าเราเข้าใจ ความหมายของความเชื่อ แล้ว เราจะเห็นความรักและความห่วงใยที่พระยาห์เวห์มีให้เราผ่านโทราห์ และ การรักษาโทราห์ ต้องทำด้วยความเชื่อ ที่หมายถึง ถึงความแน่ใจ เต็มใจ ไม่ใช่ทำไปแบบกลัวการลงโทษเท่านั้น เลยเป็นที่มาของข้อพระคำข้อนี้ไงครับ
“ท่านทั้งหลายได้ยินคำซึ่งกล่าวไว้ว่า ‘ห้ามล่วงประเวณีผัวเมียเขา’ ส่วนเราบอกพวกท่านว่า ใครมองผู้หญิงด้วยใจกำหนัดในหญิงนั้น คนนั้นได้ล่วงประเวณีในใจของเขากับหญิงนั้นแล้ว ถ้าตาข้างขวาของท่านทำให้ตัวท่านหลงผิด จงควักออกทิ้งเสีย เพราะว่าถึงจะเสียอวัยวะอย่างหนึ่ง ก็ดีกว่าตัวท่านจะต้องลงนรก ถ้ามือข้างขวาของท่านทำให้ตัวท่านหลงผิด จงตัดทิ้งเสีย เพราะถึงจะเสียอวัยวะอย่างหนึ่ง ก็ดีกว่าตัวท่านจะต้องลงนรก”
มัทธิว 5:27-30 THSV11
บาปข้อนี้เกิดขึ้นภายในใจเท่านั้น ไม่มีใครทราบว่าคุณคิดอะไร หรือ สายตาคุณกำลังสอดสายไปที่ใครอยู่และที่สำคัญ คุณรู้สึกกับมันยังไง? มีเพียงพระยาห์เวห์เท่านั้นที่รู้ และจะเป็นพยานในเรื่องนี้ในวันแห่งการพิพากษาได้ แต่แน่ล่ะ ถ้าคุณไม่เชื่อ เรื่องทั้งหมดนี้จริงๆ คุณจะไม่แคร์ ไม่สนใจ ด้วยซ้ำ คุณจะสนุกกับการเสพความสวยงามอย่างผิดๆด้วยอาการบาปต่อไป แต่ถ้าคุณ “เชื่อ” หมดใจหรือเริ่มเชื่อแล้วว่า โลกนี้มีผู้หนึ่งพิพากษาคุณได้ แม้ไม่มีใครเห็นความผิดคุณจากการกระทำ แต่มีผู้หนึ่งมองเห็นความผิดภายในจิตใจของคุณ และคุณเชื่อ จริงๆว่า สิ่งนี้เป็นบาปที่เป็นการทำผิดต่อพี่น้อง คุณจะห้ามความคิดตัวเองไว้เสมอ จริงอยู่คุณไม่ได้ตั้งใจเพราะบาปเป็นผู้ชวนให้คุณทำแต่คุณมี Free will ที่จะปฏิเสธหรือร่วมมือกับบาป นั่นเอง กระบวนการนี้คือ ความเชื่อ นั่นเองครับ
“เรารู้ว่าธรรมบัญญัตินั้นเป็นเรื่องฝ่ายจิตวิญญาณ แต่ว่าข้าพเจ้าเป็นเนื้อหนังถูกขายเป็นทาสให้อยู่ใต้บาป ข้าพเจ้าไม่เข้าใจการกระทำของข้าพเจ้าเอง เพราะว่าข้าพเจ้าไม่ทำสิ่งที่ข้าพเจ้าปรารถนาที่จะทำ แต่กลับทำสิ่งที่ข้าพเจ้าเกลียดชังนั้น”
โรม 7:14-15 THSV11
เห็นมั้ยครับ เปาโล บอกว่า โทราห์เป็นเรื่อง ของจิตวิญญาณ นั่นเพราะเราต้องรักษาโทราห์ ด้วยความเชื่อถึงจะถูกต้อง และมันหมายถึง ทำด้วยความเต็มใจ แน่ใจ มากๆ แม้จะมีบาปเป็นตัวขัดขวาง แต่เรากลับยก Free will ของเราให้เป็นของพระวิญญาณ สิ่งนี้แหละครับ ถึงจะเรียกว่าความเชื่อ ไม่มีใครเห็นคุณ ไม่มีใครบังคับคุณ คุณเลือกมันด้วยความเชื่อ ของคุณเอง สิ่งนี้แหละครับที่ทำให้เราเป็นที่พอพระทัยของพระยาห์เวห์
“แต่ถ้าไม่มีความเชื่อแล้ว จะไม่เป็นที่พอพระทัยเลย เพราะว่าผู้ที่จะมาเฝ้าพระเจ้านั้น ต้องเชื่อว่าพระองค์ทรงดำรงพระชนม์อยู่ และพระองค์ทรงเป็นผู้ประทานบำเหน็จแก่คนเหล่านั้นที่แสวงหาพระองค์”

เป็นไงครับเริ่มมองออกหรือยัง ? ว่าหน้าตาความเชื่อ จริงๆ แล้วเป็นอย่างไร ? และเรามีความเชื่อเรื่องไหนจริงๆ แล้วบ้าง? หรือ แท้จริงเราทำไปโดยความรู้ ความกลัว แบบเสียไม่ได้ เท่านั้น ไว้มาดูกันต่อใน ตอนต่อไปครับว่า เมื่อเราไปถึงจุดที่มองออกแล้วว่าเราอาจจะยังไม่มีความเชื่อในบางเรื่อง และเรายอมรับมันได้จริงๆ แล้วเราจะดูกันครับ ว่าเราจะเริ่มสร้างความเชื่อที่แท้จริงได้จากอะไร

Do you know that faith is very powerful?
It can unleash the miraculous powers of healing or many miracles as mentioned in the New Testament. Yahshua often reproached the disciples, saying, ‘They lack faith or have little faith.’ This is because they acted without confidence or lacking in faith. Therefore, in Hebrews, the definition of faith is explained like this.
Now faith is the substance of things being hoped, and it was the substance of things that have come to pass, and the evidence of things not having been seen. For by this the elders obtained witness. By faith we understand the ages to have been framed by the Word of YAHWEH, so that the things seen should not come into being out of things that already appeared.
Hebrews 11:1-3
Yes, another thing is that if you ‘believe’, you must act and you must do it with certainty. Absolutely certain. So, if all believers understand this, there will be no issues like ‘I was tricked by the pastor to do this or that’ or ‘I was pressured to do this or that’. Yes, if we understand the scripture I provided above and in the previous episode, no one can deceive, persuade, or pressure us at all. And importantly, there is nothing like that in the Bible; only faith will drive us to do anything at all, and you must do it with great certainty. The important thing is that anything you do with true faith, you will never regret that action because you have thought it over well until you are certain before taking action.
On another note, faith is the condition of doing anything with full confidence, willingly, and voluntarily. It is not done out of fear of being wrong, nor is it done simply because the majority does it. Even if no one else does, you would still do it. This is similar to what is mentioned in Romans chapter 2, which talks about Jews who are confident in keeping the Torah, believing that they will surely enter the Kingdom of Heaven. However, they do not keep it with faith; they merely observe it out of obligation because the Torah has become a law for them. Let’s look at the scripture in question.
But now a righteousness of Elohim has been revealed apart from the Torah, being witnessed by the Torah and the Prophets, even the righteousness of Elohim through the faith of Yahshua Messiah toward everyone and upon all those believing; for there is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of YAHWEH, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption in Messiah Yahshua, whom YAHWEH set forth as a sacrifice of atonement through faith in His blood, as a demonstration of His righteousness through the remission of our sins that are past, in the forbearance of Elohim, for a demonstration of His righteousness in the present time, for His being just and justifying the one that is of the faith of Yahshua. Then where is the boasting? It was not there. Through what law? Of works? No, but through a Law of faith. Then we conclude a man to be justified by faith without works of the Law.
Romans 3:21-28
If we read carefully and gradually start to understand the perspective that I am trying to explain day by day, we will grasp the depth of the word ‘faith’ greatly. And we will understand why faith is valuable enough to save someone, and it is not merely following the commandments but doing so in accordance with them. Moreover, it is the use of our free will to follow or not follow the Torah, even when we are alone and no one is watching, yet we choose to keep these commandments. Or even when we have to sacrifice certain benefits, for the sake of our promise, we still strive to keep this vow we have towards Yahweh as best as we can. Do you see? It is a completely different matter between keeping the Torah out of fear of being stoned and keeping the Torah with the confidence that when we keep this promise, Yahweh will also keep His promises to us. And that is the correct definition of the word ‘faith’.
If we start to see the differences, we will understand that dressing appropriately according to the Torah, based on faith, not as a rule, is very different. How is it different? It’s not about whose skirt is longer or who has a longer Tzitzit, but rather the internal motivation behind why we choose to wear a long skirt or have longer Tzitzit. It’s about why we do it. One person dresses according to the Torah because they know the rules very well and do not want to have problems with the community. To put it simply, they follow the rules because they don’t want to be stoned. This sounds good, doesn’t it?
But a person who thinks this way has a high chance that when he changes society or goes to a society where no one cares about dressing according to the Torah, he will stop dressing according to the Torah because no one knows about this type of dressing. But let’s look at another person who also dresses correctly, but the reason he dresses that way is different. He dresses according to the Torah because he wants to honor Yahweh through attire that expresses respect for the opposite gender. He is concerned that his clothing may lead someone who sees him, whether by coincidence or not, into a temptation regarding sexual sin. Therefore, he tries to dress modestly as the Torah prescribes. So, even when he is alone or in a place where no one is familiar with the Torah, he will still dress the same as long as the Torah dictates.
And you shall weave the tunic of bleached linen, and you shall make a miter of bleached linen, and you shall make a girdle, the work of an embroiderer. And you shall make tunics for the sons of Aaron; and you shall make girdles for them; and you shall make turbans for them, for glory and for beauty. And you shall clothe your brother Aaron with them, and his sons with him; and you shall anoint them, and you shall consecrate them, and you shall sanctify them. And they shall minister as priests to Me. And make bleached linen breeches for them, to cover the naked flesh, from the loins as far as the thighs they shall be. And they shall be on Aaron and on his sons in their going into the tabernacle of the congregation, or in their drawing near to the altar to minister in the sanctuary, and so that they shall not raise up iniquity and die. It is a never ending statute to him and to his seed after him.
Exodus 28:39-43
Do you see? If we understand the meaning of faith, we will see the love and care that Yahweh has for us through the Torah. The observance of the Torah must be done with faith, which means certainty and willingness, not just out of fear of punishment. That’s where this scripture comes from.
You have heard that it was said to the ancients “Do not commit adultery.” But I say to you, Everyone looking at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. But if your right eye offends you, take it out and throw it from you, for it is profitable to you that one of your members should perish and all your body not be thrown into Hell. And if your right hand causes you to offend, cut it off and throw it from you, for it is profitable to you that one of your members should perish and all your body not be thrown into Hell.
Matthew 5:27-30
This sin occurs only within the heart. No one knows what you are thinking or where your gaze is directed, and importantly, how you feel about it. Only Yahweh knows and will testify to this on the Day of Judgment. But of course, if you do not truly believe that all of this is real, you will not care, not even pay attention. You will continue to enjoy the beauty in a wrong way with sin. But if you ‘believe’ wholeheartedly or have started to believe that there is One who judges you in this world, even if no one sees your wrongdoings through your actions, there is One who sees the faults within your heart. And you truly believe that this is a sin against your brothers, you will always restrain your thoughts. It is true that you did not intend it because sin entices you to act, but you have the free will to reject or cooperate with sin.
This process is faith.
For we know that the Torah is spiritual, but I am fleshly, having been sold under sin. For I do not know what I do. For I do not do the thing that I want; But I do the thing which I hate, this is what I do.
Romans 7:14-15
Do you see? Paul said that the Torah is about the spirit. That’s because we must keep the Torah with faith for it to be correct, and it means to do it willingly, with great certainty. Even if sin stands in the way, we still surrender our free will to the Spirit. This is what is called faith. Nobody sees you, nobody forces you; you choose it with your own faith. This is what makes us pleasing to Yahweh.
But without faith it is impossible to please YAHWEH. For it is right that the one drawing near to YAHWEH should believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those that diligently seek him.
Hebrews 11:6
How are you doing? Have you started to see it clearly? What does faith really look like? And what faith does we actually hold? Or are we just acting out of knowledge and fear, feeling like we can’t afford not to? Let’s continue to explore this in the next episode, where we will see when we reach the point of realizing that we may not have faith in certain things and we can truly accept that. We will examine what we can begin to build true faith from.
